About Field's

Field’s is the steakhouse at the Wilderness Resort on East Adams Street, with stone fireplaces, water features and a dining room that looks out over a small pond. The patio has fire features too, which makes it a nice spot on a cool evening. The menu covers filets, a dry-aged New York strip, a dry-aged bone-in rib chop and Australian Wagyu, plus barbecued baby back ribs baked in a house-made sauce. Seafood includes lobster tails, salmon and scallops, and oysters on the half shell are a good way to start. There’s a kids’ menu, so it works for a family dinner as well as a date night.

Vegetarian options:

  • The “Florentine” is the Star: The most frequently cited vegetarian entrée is the Florentine Style Fettuccine. It features spinach, mushrooms, tomato, and fontina cheese in a cream sauce.
  • The Wood-Fired Pizzas: Many guests are pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wood-burning oven. The Margherita Pizza (fresh basil, Roma tomato, and mozzarella) is often praised as a reliable, lighter alternative to the heavy pasta or steak dishes.
  • High-End Sides: Reviewers often suggest making a meal out of the “sides.” The risotto, twice-baked potatoes, and sautéed mushrooms consistently receive high marks for flavor and presentation.
  • The “Salad Upgrade”: Guests often recommend the Wilderness Salad. Reviews specifically call out the “fried potato threads” on top as a highlight; be sure to request “no bacon”.
