About Swagat
Swagat is an Indian restaurant on Broadway downtown with a long menu covering North Indian favorites, South Indian curries and Indo-Chinese dishes. Butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, rogan josh and dal makhani sit next to a coconut-based goat Malabari and a Goa-style lamb vindaloo. The tandoor turns out chicken, lamb chops, salmon and shrimp, and there are biryanis, garlic and cheese naan, and plenty of vegetarian dishes like malai kofta and chana masala. Finish with gulab jamun or pistachio kulfi and a mango lassi.

Vegetarian options:
- Fantastic destination for vegetarians, largely because North Indian cuisine inherently celebrates plant-based cooking. Their menu features a massive selection of veggie-forward entrées, ranging from rich, comforting classics like Paneer Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, and creamy Malai Kofta (vegetable dumplings) to naturally hearty staples like Chana Masala (tangy chickpeas) and Baingan Bharta (mashed eggplant with spices). For starters, you can enjoy street-food favorites like crispy potato Samosas (and street-style Samosa Chaat), spicy Indo-Chinese Gobhi Chili, or try a unique local appetizer, Masala Tossed Cheese Curds. Paired with fragrant Vegetable Dum Biryani or fresh clay-oven flatbreads like Garlic Naan and whole-wheat Tandoori Roti, it is an incredibly accommodating spot for any plant-based diner.
