Sortino’s Italian Kitchen is a modern red-sauce Italian restaurant off the Kalahari lobby, carrying on a family tradition from the original Sortino’s Little Italy, opened in Sandusky, Ohio, more than 60 years ago. The penne vodka, lasagna bolognese, stuffed shells and Italian beef all get good reviews, and the garlic bread comes with three dipping sauces. Portions are generous, there are gluten-free options, and kids get their own pizza and ravioli. The bar pours wine flights and cocktails. It’s fun and a little upscale, and it gets busy and lively at dinner.
